Abstract
La plateforme expérimentale Domus accueille le prototype d’un appartement intelligent permettant la mise en place d’expérimentations liées à l’informatique ambiante dans un contexte très réaliste. La plateforme est équipée de nombreux dispositifs permettant ainsi un contrôle fin et modulable du comportement de l’appartement et met à disposition des expérimentateurs, l’ensemble des traces d’activités de l’habitant et de l’appartement. Les retours d’expérience issus de l’utilisation de Domus avec de nombreux projets illustrent le bien-fondé de la démarche et montrent la pertinence de disposer d’une telle infrastructure pour mettre en œuvre et évaluer de nouvelles approches et dispositifs touchant à l’informatique ambiante dans l’habitat.
The Domus experimental platform hosts the prototype of a smart home for the setup of experiments related to ambiant computing in a very realistic context. The platform is equipped with many sensors and actuators connected to a home automation interoperable system. This system allows fine control and flexible behavior of the apartment and makes available to experimenters all data related to inhabitant activity within the apartment. The feedback from using Domus with many projects illustrate the validity of the approach and show the relevance of having such an infrastructure to implement and evaluate new approaches and devices for ambient intelligence in the home.
